Blogging as a creative side project/outlet certainly has its perks.

… such as being able to take a week off from it and not feel bad (although I did feel a bit bad… I’m Type A!) Maybe next time, I’ll take an even longer break! πŸ˜‰ Although, I will say that I’m the type of person who thrives on deadlines, packed schedules, and projects. So… I did feel out of my element taking a blog hiatus (but I also enjoyed it immensely) – I’m working on striking a fine balance!

In the meantime… one thing I missed about blogging was the motivation and inspiration to dress up (i.e. not look like a slob) on a day-to-day basis (which was one the main reasons I blogged to begin with – why I continue to blog). Case in point: this simple and lovely outfit I wore to my belated birthday dinner. I LOVE this outfit and I cannot wait to wear it again! Maybe on a date! But… gotta find one first πŸ™‚ ha ha, oh the single life.

The floral wrap dress (somewhat similar here) gets an autumn makeover with suede navy blue pumps (seriously, my favorite ever! I talk about these beauties in this post) and a black textured clutch (been wearing it A LOT!). I purchased mine at a boutique in Sacramento, but here is a similar looking one.

That’s it for now! September has been WONDERFUL and I hope it’s been wonderful for you as well! (If not, feel free to email me if you need a vent session/perspective/whatnot! I love hearing from you guys!)

Blogger gals out there: Do you feel guilty taking breaks? What motivates you to keep blogging? Share with me!
