• The All-Purpose Summer Dress (only $46)|Let’s get personal

    Wednesday, I love you.

Especially on this particular Wednesday. By the time this post goes live, I would have gotten over something I’ve been dreading for the last few weeks, something that has been on my mind a lot and weighing me down (emotionally, physically, psychologically). And that is: the dreaded dentist appointment, namely an appointment to get a crown. (Yes, this might be a bit dramatic to some, but hey everything is relative right?) I’m giving myself a pat on the back, and also treating myself to a mani/pedi OR new haircut/highlights/conditioning treatment. As I mentioned in a recent post, you HAVE to be kind to yourself (otherwise, who else will be!?)

In today’s post, I want to talk about a few things:

    • First off, this shift dress. I’ve already worn it TWICE, and I absolutely 100% love it. Yes, I’ve jumped on the OTS trend, but this dress is FABULOUS because it is: effortless, casual but can be dressy, comfortable, and affordable (Seriously, you need to grab one – you’ll be wearing it A TON this summer)
    • While we’re at it, these lace-up wedges are so COMFY, give a bit of height to shorter ladies, and go with so many outfits
    • (Something a bit more personal) – I’ve found myself feeling, thinking and just being overly negative these last couple of weeks. I never, ever thought of myself as the negative, pessimistic, anxious, worrisome type AT ALL, but interesting how it sneaks up on you as you get older. However, I had a GREAT conversation with an incredible friend recently, and she has reminded me yet again that you are in control of your thoughts, feelings, etc. You can train your mind to look at things differently, to stop negative, destructive and worrisome thoughts that do absolutely no good. And take it one step further and do something POSITIVE or PRODUCTIVE – whether it is for you or someone else.

Let’s keep each other motivated, inspired, and accountable TODAY, this week, this month, this year. Let’s change our negative thoughts and actions into positive thoughts, actions, and behaviors. It will definitely be hard and challenging at times, but as long as we are self-aware and making progress, then we’re already getting somewhere. (A lot of this is me giving myself a pep talk, but hey, if this post resonates with at least one of you, I’d love to hear from you – Feel free to email me!) 🙂
