Phew, this post took some time to prepare and create! I have a new-found respect and appreciation for gals who do beauty/lifestyle posts on the regular. Hats off to you – or however the saying goes! 😉

Although I do not use a lot of beauty products/makeup regularly, I am a huge beauty junkie/hoarder! I just love to experiment with new products and I love the process of putting on makeup. To me, it is just so therapeutic and feels so good. One of my beauty weaknesses is makeup brushes – I swear they are like a mini facial every time I put on makeup. Ahhhhh 🙂

Whenever I want to feel pretty and put together quickly and simply, I use/do the following routine:

    • Prime my face with a primer (any will do) and a new favorite I LOVE is to use the Smashbox BB water. This product is amazing especially for gals who do not like a face full of makeup. The coolest part (other than the dropper) is that it has SPF in it. Absolutely crucial for the summertime!
    • Contour with the Kevyn Aucoin Contour Palette. I purchased this while getting a makeover at Sephora a few months back, and the make-up lady sold me on it.
    • For my eyes, I use the Kevyn Aucoin Contour Palette and blend the Cool Tan and Ruddy Earth shade on the crease. Then I use ColourPop’s Truth eyeshadow on the lids.
    • For the lower lash line, I line lightly with a gray eyeliner and buff it out with the Kevyn Aucoin Contour Palette Starlight shade
    • To brighten the eyes, I line the lower waterline with a nude pencil. To further brighten the eyes, I use the Kevyn Aucoin Contour Palette (yes, again!) and dab a bit of Brighten and Candlelight color in the inner corners and a dab on the center of the lids.
    • Lastly, I pop on a nude-y shade of lipstick

Voila! I can count on the above for pretty much ANY occasion!

Now getting to the “Being Kind to Yourself” part of the post … I’ve always been a people-pleaser and as such, I can be pretty hard on myself at times. I have to constantly remind myself to be kind to myself and my body. Recently, I purchased a diffuser for my room, and it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. The diffuser has been such a luxury treatment as it has helped me to de-stress and calm myself. I add some peppermint oil to the diffuser and it helps me to further de-stress and relax. Honest to goodness, I look forward to using the diffuser every morning and night!! It is super affordable and something small that can make a huge difference! I highly, highly recommend it!

Another way I like to pamper and treat myself is by getting monthly facials (MY ABSOLUTE GUILTY PLEASURE) and semi-regular makeovers at Sephora. These little things have been an absolute life-saver for me! Treating yourself and getting pampered is so important and it is one thing that I do NOT skimp on!

Which leads me to talk about something exciting I’ve been playing around with… the soft launch of my business idea that combines the above with life coaching sessions! (I recently tried a life coaching session and it was such an eye opener and so very helpful). If you are interested (or know of anyone who is interested) in affordable life coaching PLUS pamper package services, please go here. I would love to help you out! (I have a psychology degree as well as previous experience in giving makeovers, facials, etc. Plus, I just LOVE it!)

I hope this post didn’t bore you too much – and we will now return to your regularly scheduled program 😉

Side Note: Please do comment below if you find this type of post to be helpful at all! They are pretty time-consuming, but if they are helpful to some, I’d love to know. Thanks so much, and have a FAB-U-LOUS holiday weekend!
