Hello, everyone! I am back! Back from my cruise to Vancouver and back from my San Diego work trip. Lots of travelling over the last week or so. I’m so happy to back on land, and back with my Zoey guy who I’ve missed so much.
Let’s just say that my first cruise to Vancouver was definitely an adventure, and I’m so glad I was able to spend some quality time with one of my best friends! I met some wonderful people while travelling and it always reminds me how easy it is to make new friends, where ever I go. That’s definitely something I want to remember in my day to day life.
I am so happy it’s Memorial Day Weekend, and I have some time to relax and unwind from the past couple of weeks. I hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Yellow dress – Love Audrey (from Crossroads Trading)
White shoes – borrowed from my mom
Lipstick – NYX soft matte cream in Prague

By the time this post goes live, I will be be on a cruise headed to British Columbia, with my best friend from college! See, I’m a somewhat dedicated blogger, I have pre-set posts ready and waiting for you!

I wore this yellow floral “maxi” dress for Mother’s Day on Sunday. Since I’m fairly short, finding the right maxi dress is somewhat of a challenge for me. I like this one because the floral print adds some curves, while the length and cut of the dress doesn’t completely overwhelm my slender frame. I borrowed my mom’s white sandals to pair with this dress, and pulled my hair back in a casual braid. I spent the day reading a book outside the backyard, relaxing on a hammock. It was sooooo nice, and completely stress/anxiety free. Wooohoo!!! (I guess that stress yoga program I went through is paying off, thank goodness).

For Mother’s Day, my sisters and I got my mom a luxurious face cream, and we also made a simple and delicious Vietnamese-ish dinner. (As a side note, I’m saving some money to treat my parents to a nice vacation, so hopefully they can go on a vacation within a year, so that will my Parent’s Day gift to them.)

Not pictured is my favorite Bambu drink that I was able to indulge in this weekend. All in all, it was a relaxing and wonderful weekend filled with lots of yummy treats, including some delicious egg rolls I helped make! I hope you are all having a fabulous week, with lots of fun, fashion, food, and beautiful weather!

Coral lace dress – Free People (from Crossroads Trading)
White purse – from vintage boutique
Nude heels – Francis Sarto (from Marshall’s)
Since wearing this dress a few weeks ago, I’ve actually sold it to Crossroads. But, I love coral and think it’s the perfect color for springtime. I love pairing coral with nude and white, so that’s what I did in this outfit.
I’m going on a cruise next week (first time cruiser!!!) with one of my best friends from college. I’m so freaking excited (and a bit anxious at the same time). I have to start packing soon. If you’ve been on a cruise and have some packing tips, please let me know!
Also, I’ve decided I’m going to take a shopping break for the next few months, so no more shopping for this lady! (Of course, I had to buy a pair of red/coral heels and a bathing suit before this hiatus.) I’m hoping to make the most of my closest, mix things up, and accessorize. Plus, I figure since summertime is approaching (and dressing in the summer is so simple) that I won’t need to shop for new clothes or shoes, right!? I will have to resist temptation, and just say no… No thanks!
I hope you’re having a great Mother’s Day Weekend! I’m excited to dress up in a spring maxi dress for Mother’s Day tomorrow. It’s yellow and floral and perfect for Mother’s Day 🙂
